NAPLES, Fla. – An Orange County developer paid $7.25 million last month for two properties on the Gordon River, allowing site work and construction on the Hyatt House Naples resort hotel to move forward.
And when the 189-room, extended-stay, waterfront hotel starts going up in March, it will be the first time nationwide that the developer’s newly patented construction methods will be used on a large project, cutting construction time by nearly half.
“A lot of the work is done here so it’s built much faster and saves costs,” said Bill Finfrock, owner of Finfrock Construction of Apopka. “We’ll construct the hotel in Naples in about 10 months. It would normally take 18 months.”
